Associate District Minister & National Resources Lead
(Shared Position: Pacific District Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches [PDC] – 40% /
United States Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches [USMB] – 60%)
Position Type: Full-time, exempt
Reports To: PDC District Minister & USMB National Director
Location: Fresno, CA, (with some travel)
Position Summary
The Associate District Minister & National Resources Lead serves both the Pacific District
Conference (PDC) and the United States Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (USMB),
strengthening pastoral leadership, resource development, and organizational effectiveness.
This role requires a pastoral, relational leader who is also highly organized and self-directed. The
individual will serve as a trusted partner—helping develop leaders, create resources, coordinate
initiatives, and support clear communication across diverse, multi-ethnic ministry contexts.
Key Responsibilities
USMB (60%) – National Leadership & Resource Development
- Support national leadership development initiatives for pastors and ministry leaders.
- Help develop licensing, ordination, and ministry training resources.
- Coordinate creation of written, digital, and video resources in collaboration with the USMB
Board of Faith & Life (BFL). - Work with pastors, educators, and partners to develop and refine content.
- Ensure resources are theologically aligned, culturally relevant, and accessible (including
Spanish-speaking leaders). - Assist in managing national initiatives, timelines, and partnerships.
- Build relationships with pastors and leaders through travel, networking, and gatherings.
- Represent USMB at events and collaborative settings.
PDC (40%) – District Leadership Operations
- Serve alongside the District Minister in pastoral and organizational leadership.
- Draft and send district-wide communications, including visually engaging emails (Canva,
MailChimp). - Coordinate scheduling and logistics for board meetings, committees, & district gatherings.
- Assist in planning and executing events, including the PDC Convention.
- Maintain a pastoral presence in all communication and interactions.
- Work independently to keep priorities aligned while the District Minister is frequently
traveling.
Qualifications & Competencies
Required
- Alignment with the mission, theology, and values of the Mennonite Brethren Church.
- Currently, or willing to become, an active member in a Mennonite Brethren Church.
- Demonstrated pastoral sensitivity and relational intelligence.
- Experience in multi-ethnic or cross-cultural ministry settings.
- High-level organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and anticipate needs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with digital communication tools (email platforms, basic design tools).
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Familiarity with Canva, MailChimp, or similar tools.
- Ministry leadership experience (church, district, or denominational context).
- Experience coordinating events, trainings, or leadership initiatives.

Salary & Compensation
• $58,500 annually, plus benefits (with scheduled annual increases)
