- With 30 churches and almost 10,000 members in three countries, Grace Tabernacle Ministries (GTM) has grown significantly since its humble beginning in Kenya with seven Congolese refugees in 2009. The National Pastors' Orientation is now the Ministry Leaders Orientation. While the name has changed, the purpose remains the same: to welcome, equip and connect all newly licensed USMB ministry leaders as they begin their ministry within the USMB family.
All newly licensed USMB ministry leaders—whether you are new to ministry or new to USMB—are invited to join us April 12–14, 2027, at the Island Palms Hotel and Marina in beautiful San Diego, California.
Sponsored by the USMB Board of Faith and Life, the Ministry Leaders Orientation is an important first step in your ministry journey. You'll gain a deeper understanding of the history, mission and values of USMB while building relationships with leaders and fellow ministry colleagues from across the country.
During the event you'll:
- Connect with USMB and district leaderes, as well as other new ministry leaders.
- Learn about the ministries, resources and support available through USMB, including leadership development opportunities, administrative resources, insurance benefits, Christian Leader magazine and Christian Leader Podcast and national events.
- Be encouraged and refreshed through meaningful conversations, worship, fellowship and shared experiences.
- Build lasting relationships with others serving in similar ministry contexts.
We know that ministry can be both rewarding and demanding. That's why spouses are strongly encouraged to attend. The schedule includes dedicated free time to relax, explore San Diego and enjoy meaningful fellowship together.
