A.J. Swoboda

A.J. Swoboda is the associate professor of Bible and theology at Bushnell University in Eugene, Oregon, and lead pastor of Faith Center. He served as a college pastor on the University of Oregon campus for nearly 10 years. For another decade, he planted and pastored an urban church in Portland, Oregon. A.J. leads a Doctor of Ministry program around spiritual formation and soul care at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. He has taught at the London School of Theology, LIFE Pacific, Southeastern University and Multnomah University. He is the author of more than 10 books, including "A Teachable Spirit," "After Doubt" and the award-winning "Subversive Sabbath." He hosts the “Slow Theology” podcast (with Nijay Gupta) and writes the widely read “Low-Level Theologian” Substack. A.J. lives and works on an urban farm with his wife and son in Eugene, Oregon.

Aaron Box

Aaron Box has served as USMB national director since July 2024, bringing more than 20 years of ministry leadership experience to the role. Aaron previously served as senior pastor of North Park Community Church in Eugene, Oregon. He served on the USMB Leadership Board from 2014-2022 and has extensive volunteer experience leading in his local community. Aaron is passionate about developing young leaders and loving people who don’t know Jesus, introducing them to the Gospel. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Bible/theology and youth ministry and a Master of Business Administration. In his time off, you can often find Aaron exploring the mountains and rivers of the Northwest. Aaron and his wife, Jennifer, have two children and reside in Eugene.

Jon Annin

Jon Annin

Jon Annin serves as pastor at Stony Brook Church in Omaha, Nebraska, where he has been faithfully leading and serving for over four years. Jon holds bachelor’s degrees from Peru State College and Fresno Pacific University. He earned his Master of Divinity from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is passionate about sharing the life-changing good news of Jesus Christ and has a particular heart for Next Generation ministry, equipping and empowering young people to know and follow Jesus. Before coming to Stony Brook, Jon spent 18 years at Clovis Hills Church in Fresno, California, where he led with vision, compassion and a heart for reaching the community. Jon is married to Lauren, who is passionate about special needs ministry, and together they have a 10-year-old son, Oliver. Their family loves spending time with extended family and their growth group, and they find great joy in serving the church and living out their faith with authenticity and joy.

Aaron Halvorsen

Aaron Halvorsen

Aaron Halvorsen has served as lead pastor at Community Bible Church in Olathe, Kansas, since February 2015. He was raised in Spokane, Washington, and Las Vegas, Nevada. He studied biology at Eastern Washington University, where he participated in Campus Crusade for Christ, developed a love for studying, discussing and teaching the Word of God and first felt an internal call to gospel ministry. Aaron earned his Master of Divinity at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He was a charter member and pastoral apprentice of Trinity Church (an MB church plant on the Western Seminary campus), where he later served as a lay elder. Aaron and his wife, Maggie, have five children: Norah, Diana, Simon, Audrey and Leo. Aaron serves on the board of Multiply and has been excitedly involved in the Tabor College Graduate Studies in Ministry initiative. When not spending time with his family or serving the church, Aaron enjoys hockey, video games, movies and card games. He once rolled two buncos in a row.

Kyle Goings

Kyle Goings

Kyle Goings has served in youth and young adult ministry for over 20 years and has been the NextGen Pastor at Ridgepoint Church in Wichita, Kansas, since 2014. He also leads nationally as the director of USMB NextGen and co-hosts the “Embrace the Awkward” podcast, where he helps youth workers navigate the challenging and hilarious moments of ministry. Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree in youth ministry and adolescent studies from Judson University and his master’s degree in ministry entrepreneurship and innovation from Tabor College. A passionate enthusiast of board and video games, Kyle loves spending time with his college sweetheart and wife, Katie, and their two energetic daughters, Ever and Emmy.

Andy Owen

Andy Owen

Andy Owen is the equipping and multiplication pastor at Ridgepoint Church in Wichita, Kansas, joining the staff in January 2022. Prior to that, Andy served as a missionary in Thailand for over 20 years, with roles including church planting, field training and regional leadership. Andy is a graduate of Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas, and has master’s degrees from Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary and Fuller Seminary. His ministry responsibilities at Ridgepoint include leadership training, strategic planning, teaching and equipping the church to multiply through new groups and churches. Andy is happily married to his wife, Carmen, and they have three children: Connor, Isaac and JJ. Andy enjoys running, music, family time and KU basketball.
