Recently the Lord has blessed USMB with new people and congregations. That’s something to celebrate! Perhaps you have experienced the challenges of making connections and establishing a sense of belonging when joining a new workplace, church or community. That’s where you can help!

July 26-30 will be our USMB Gathering 2022 in Kansas City, MO. The NST's Congolese Task Force is encouraging our newly affiliated Congolese pastors to attend the National Pastors’ Conference July 26-28; the National Convention July 28-30; and a special Congolese Gathering (open to everyone!) July 30 with lunch at 12:30 p.m. followed by worship, prayer and messages from 1-5:30 p.m. We want to be intentional about helping them establish new connections and friendships through Operation Meet Me in KC! We will also launch our Cord initiative.

“And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him–a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecc. 4:12 (ESV)

The Plan: We will provide contact information for all 10 of our newly affiliated Congolese churches including the name and location of the church, pastor’s name and a description of their church ministry. We would like to connect all of them with at least one other church who will encourage and pray for them.

In KC: We will facilitate opportunities for you to meet, share a meal and get acquainted. We encourage you to stay for the Saturday afternoon Congolese Gathering.

Post July: Continue your relationship with visits, pulpit exchanges, networking or forming a “Sister Church” relationship. Talk to us and we’ll explore ideas!

Can you help financially? Getting to KC will be prohibitive for some of our Congolese members who will arrive on Friday and stay through Saturday evening. The cost for meals for Friday and Saturday will be $80, and Friday night hotel is $120 (with tax) per night. Donate online by selecting the "Operation KC" designation.
