LAMB is comprised of congregations located in a part of Texas known to both its residents and outsiders as the Rio Grande Valley. Located in one of the fastest growing parts of the country (McAllen-Edinburg-Mission), LAMB churches are facing a new challenge as they renew and reinvent themselves in the midst of vast growth and increasing diversity.

As is true in other districts, LAMB congregations are faced with the challenge of ministering to a new generation that is raised in a different social ethos and looking for Jesus in relevant and real ways but who are tired of tradition and religion. The challenge is to preserve the heritage of a proud past while pressing forward and actively engaging in new ways of being and doing church.

Because this is a predominantly Hispanic region, the majority of LAMB churches hold their services in Spanish. However, some congregations use a combination of languages and others are using English to reach the younger generations.
