Responding to COVID-19
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
As we continue to hear more about the spread of COVID-19, we realize that our MB churches are indeed affected in more ways than one. As a people, we first seek God and look to Him in faith and for guidance and security. We also should take appropriate precautions to not create undue risk. In light of this, USMB is following the counsel of our local and national health authorities and we will be limiting our travel and gatherings until it’s deemed wise to re-engage. We are closely monitoring the situation and are committed to the well-being of our USMB family. Should our plans for USMB Gathering 2020 change in the coming weeks, we will keep you informed via email and social media.
The references below provide some helpful information and offer practical help which may be of benefit to our MB pastors and churches. These will be updated as new resources are available. And, if we at the USMB national office can be of assistance, please let us know.
How this will all play out in the future is unknown to us but known to God. Let’s pray, trust Him and at the same time, “spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
