Responding to COVID-19
As COVID-19 stay-at-home guidelines are eased, we affirm the desire of USMB churches to resume in-person worship and church ministries in ways that honor God and give witness to our faith in His care and protection while not creating undue risk. We encourage local congregations to continue to follow the counsel of local and national authorities and to consult with others in your local faith communities as you make plans to resume church activities. We know that guidelines will vary from state to state and even within states, and we encourage us to show grace to one another during this next phase.
As our conversations about the coronavirus shift to what will happen when we reopen our churches, we won't go back to the way things used to be. We've learned some things from this pandemic. The list of resources below have been updated to include helpful information and offer practical help as we plan to resume public gatherings and church ministries. If we at the USMB national office can be of assistance as your congregation continues to adapt to COVID-19, please let us know.
We are also monitoring the situation as related to national events and are committed to the well-being of our USMB family. Plans for USMB Gathering 2020 will be announced June 8 via email and social media.
