Rolen to join USMB staff as administrative assistant, webmaster

USMB is pleased to announce the hiring of Desirae Rolen as administrative assistant and webmaster, effective July 1.

Rolen has served as administrative assistant for USMB NextGen since July 2023 and will continue in that part-time role while adding 25-30 hours per week for the USMB national office.

“It’s obvious that Desirae has a passion for serving Jesus in many capacities, including through administrative work and being a webmaster,” says USMB national director Don Morris. “As she says, she loves detail work. I believe God orchestrated her availability for the job at just the right time for our USMB family and for her as well. I look forward to hearing good things about Desirae’s work in the future. Let’s all make sure Desirae feels welcome for this new role.”

When Rolen was a teenager, her family moved to Central Asia to do mission work. She moved to Kansas in 1999. Rolen attended Newman University in Wichita, Kan., for two years and has more than six years of experience in administrative assistant roles in Wichita. From 2020-2024, she served as social media manager and offered web development and maintenance for two Prineville, Ore., restaurants.

Rolen is a kids’ ministry volunteer at Ridgepoint Church in Wichita, where she serves as a greeter and on the leadership team for an adult Sunday school class with her husband, Brad.

Rolen will work from her home in Wichita. Her role combines the administrative duties of Donna Sullivan and the webmaster duties of Lori Taylor, both of whom are retiring following USMB Gathering 2024.

“I am incredibly excited to join USMB as the new administrative assistant and webmaster,” Rolen says. “With my missions background, I look forward to connecting with our diverse community of churches. I hope to utilize my administrative skills to ensure smooth operations, enabling our pastors and leaders to focus on their ministries effectively. Additionally, serving as webmaster will allow me to enhance communication and outreach, helping our churches reach their full God-given potential and expanding our impact both locally and globally.”

Rolen and her husband have one daughter.
