Taylor to retire from webmaster role in July

Lori Taylor will retire from her role as USMB webmaster July 31, 2024, after 16 years of service to USMB.

Taylor began serving USMB as part-time administrative assistant to executive director Ed Boschman in 2008. Upon Boschman’s retirement, Taylor continued her role when Don Morris became interim national director in 2014 and national director in 2016. She concluded her administrative assistant duties in 2020 but stayed on staff as webmaster working five hours per week.

“Lori has been such a blessing to me personally, to our USMB staff and to our USMB family,” Morris says. “She provided excellent administrative expertise, first for Ed Boschman and then for me. She expanded her creativity by providing great work in helping to develop our current website and then staying on part-time to be our webmaster, keeping this important resource fresh and looking great. Lori is a good friend and a wonderful partner in ministry, and I know she loves Jesus with all of her heart. I pray she enjoys having more time now to spend with her family and in serving the Lord through her natural ability and spiritual gift of counseling young women.”

Taylor worked primarily from her home in Bakersfield, Calif. She was instrumental in the 2017 USMB rebrand, including designing a new USMB website. She designed a website refresh in 2023 and the Leadership Fuel page in 2024. Her role has also included planning and hosting LEAD One events, designing graphics and brochures, taking minutes at board meetings and national conventions and planning and editing promotional videos.

“In all the various roles I’ve played, I’ve heard stories of God’s faithfulness to church planters, pastors, district ministers and national directors,” Taylor says. “My spiritual life has matured as I’ve been a ‘paid disciple’ under these great men and women of faith.”

In retirement, she looks forward to spending more time with her husband, Geoff, their six grandchildren, and pursuing new hobbies and ministry opportunities.
