The PDC Board of Next Generation Leadership (NextGen) strives to encourage the next generation of church leaders by offering opportunities for the testing of gifts and passion in the context of a supportive local church ministry experience. The primary way the Board works at this encouragement process is through NextGen Leadership Development Grants.

Local Mennonite Brethren churches host young adult interns who gain valuable ministry experience and discover more about themselves and God’s call on their lives. The PDC partners with the local church in funding, orienting and supporting each of the interns. More information about this program is available by clicking on the appropriate link below.

The Board also supports the Central Valley Ministry Forum held at Fresno Pacific University each Spring.  This one-day event serves to provide ongoing education and encouragement to local church leaders.

This District Board is again offering NextGen leadership development opportunities through a local Mennonite Brethren Church. These full-time, 3-month long internships are designed for 19-25 year olds to learn and grow in ministry areas such as Children, Youth, Music, Preaching/Teaching and Administrative ministries. These are paid internships with plenty of accountability and support built into the program.
